I'm alive and loving it all....

Hello friends, I apologize for my absence from my blog... which i promised I would keep you updated on. Life in China has been grand. I've been here for almost a month now. My kids that I teach are a handful but they are so darling and sweet. So far I have had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong, Guzhen (my city), Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. All of which were unique and beautiful!  On Wednesday I am getting on a train to visit Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, and Xian!

I can already tell I am going to have a hard time leaving China...
I love all the fruit stands on every street corner, the people getting acupuncture on the side of the road, all the hellos - waves - and stares, the street market where everything above $3 is too expensive, the families all piled onto one motorcycle, I love how every night at the park people gather to play table tennis (ping pong), badminton, ballroom dance, and practice Kung Fu. I love how you can go to a restaurant and get a entire meal for under $2. I love that if I need to get anywhere I just hop onto the back of a strange mans motorcycle and he will take me where ever I need to go. Everyday I am more and more amazed by the generosity, unselfishness and kindness of the Chinese people. - I couldn't think of a better way to spend this semester.

iphone pictures galore.

The past few weeks have been a breath of fresh air... Finishing up my first semester of college, spending time with family, warm weather and nannying have been lovely as ever. Everything is good.

life lately....

Life has been splendid. I took a trip out to Oakland/ San Francisco, California over my spring break for a much needed breath of fresh air. I love that place, I love my family there, I loved the rain and just about everything. I am becoming a happier person, not necessarily because everything is going the way I would like it to, but I'm shifting my paradigm. Good things surround me constantly and I am beginning to count my blessings daily... a couple blessings include, one of my best friends moving in with me for a month, Kaya coming home in 25 days, being surrounded by incredibly kind, forgiving people, inspiration and motivation coming at points when I need it most. I am excited, happy, energized, passionate, and so incredibly grateful and I attribute it all to God. God is good, life is good, and a change in scenery is always good.
